Never been to a home decor swap before? Here's how it works:
First, you'll need to go through your home décor and decide what you can part with. Look for things that no longer fit your interior design aesthetic, but you would still give to your best friend. Bring as many items you can fit in one of those big blue IKEA bags. If it’s a magazine rack and it fits, bring it. Or it can be several smaller items, as long as they fit in the bag. Bring a minimum of 5 items. Limit 1 bag per person.
Look for things you might see in Pottery Barn, West Elm or Pier 1 not William Sonoma.

Suggested items:
- decorative pillows
- frames
- throws
- wall decor
- poufs
- mirrors
- unused candles
(ITEMS NOT ACCEPTED: lamps/rugs/appliances/curtains/towels/slipcovers/damaged or dirty items)
The swap is happening Saturday, February 6th at the Keller Williams Realty office in Arlington (near Court House metro) and street parking is available in front of the building. Items can be dropped off between 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm and swapping will begin at 2:30 pm.
Make sure you arrive early! There will be awesome swag bags for the first 50 swappers through the door as well as several speakers and vendors. As you shop from vendors like Stella & Dot, Jamberry, and Rodan + Fields, enjoy a cocktail hour with a complimentary drink and delicious appetizers.
All items that aren’t swapped will be donated to charity partner Goodwill of Greater Washington so don’t forget, you’re swapping for a great cause!
Have fun collecting your items–take a look at my YouTube video to see what I'm bringing. I can’t wait to see you February 6th!
