Over the weekend I had brunch in the Brookland neighborhood of DC with a fellow blogger; we went to Steel Plate which served up some mighty fine huevos rancheros and some epic cocktails (order the Kir Royale!) with a side of the grooviest playlist.

After stuffing our faces (and dancing in our booth) we wandered around looking for an interesting place for our photo shoot. I'd say this brightly colored wall was the perfect choice...read more about the meaning behind the mural "A Survivor's Journey"
