Veteran's Day is such a great holiday, honoring those who have and are currently serving in the United States Military. Living in Washington, DC you sometimes get to do some exclusive things like bowling at the White House, meeting a foreign dignitary or stopping by the monuments at 3am after a night out (this is my favorite thing to do when my friends come to visit). 

 

This year for Veteran's Day HBO filmed a live concert in Washington, DC down on the National Mall. In the shadow of the Capitol Building stars like Bruce Springsteen, Dave Grohl and Rihanna sang songs in honor of our nation's military servicemen and women.

 

On an unseasonably warm November night we set up our blankets, brought snacks from home and enjoyed an amazing night under the stars. I feel so lucky to be a DC native, especially on nights like this one!
