Union Market District

 

Last Friday after work I headed over to the Union Market District to check out the many events happening in this part of city. 

First up was a paired down Thread, a curated pop-up shop featuring emerging clothing and accessories brands that debuted last Christmas. Held at Dock 5, an event venue just up the road from Union Market, this year's event featured DeNADA a cozy knit accessories company (hello #sweaterweather), Billy Reid a classic Americana brand, which has partnered with both JCrew and Coach, and Bang shoes whose profits are used to fund entrepreneurs around the world.

Lined up along 5th street, NE were a few mobile fashion booths where visitors could shop inside of an airstream trailer or DIY in a studio on wheels

As I made my way further down the street I stopped at Bidwell for a cocktail party hosted by Tracey Lomrantz Lester, Editorial Director at Gilt. She was in town for the twice-yearly GiltCity Warehouse Sale. 

Over all it was another amazing night in DC!
